Jeff Williams joined Life Magnetics as Chairman & CEO in April 2011. Previously, he had been President & CEO of Accuri Cytometers from January 2010 until March 2011, when he led the sale of Accuri to Becton, Dickinson & Company, resulting in more than 5x cash-on-cash returns to investors. While at Accuri, Mr. Williams oversaw revenue growth of 65% year-over-year, the development of a clinical system, and the achievement of positive EBITDA. Prior to Accuri, he had been President & CEO of HandyLab, Inc., an Ann Arbor-based clinical diagnostic company, since 2004. At HandyLab, he led the growth and venture financing of the company, ultimately resulting in its sale for $275 million in cash in November 2009. Previously, Mr. Williams was President & CEO of Genomic Solutions Inc., an Ann Arbor-based life science products company he co-founded in 1997. Mr. Williams led Genomic Solutions through a period of rapid growth culminating in an IPO on NASDAQ in 2000 and merger with Harvard Biosciences, Inc. in late 2002. After the merger, he remained with Genomic Solutions as its President and joined the Harvard Biosciences Board of Directors. Prior to Genomic Solutions, Mr. Williams held various executive and management level positions in several bioscience companies, including IRIS and Boehringer Mannheim.
Mr. Williams received a BS in Biology (summa cum laude) from Alma College and an MBA with High Distinction from The University of Michigan.
