Samuel Valenti III is Chairman of TriMas Corporation and Chairman and CEO of Valenti Capital, an investment firm in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan. 

He is the former President of Masco Capital Corporation, a subsidiary of Masco Corporation, a Fortune 500 manufacturer of homebuilding and home improvement products.

Mr. Valenti is the former chairman of the Investment Advisory Committee of the $50 billion State of Michigan Retirement System. He serves on the Harvard Business School Advisory Council and the Advisory Council at the University of Notre Dame. Mr. Valenti is a member of the Board of Directors of Detroit Renaissance, Inc., and serves as Chairman of the Detroit Renaissance Fund-of-Funds Initiative.
