TechArb Student Accelerator

The U-M Student Business Accelerator facility offers co-location office space for early stage companies that are affiliated with the University of Michigan. Early stage companies can apply to gain access to this space if they are designing new technology, have an idea for a product or service, or have identified a market need but are not sure if a business can be created around it.

The TechArb is managed by the Center for Entrepreneurship and the Zell Lurie Institute with advice and input from an advisory board made up of community leaders and professional investors. Applications for TechArb are coordinated with the Dare to Dream Grant Program.

.

Applications for tenancy at TechArb have a timeline and application process that is coordinated with the Dare to Dream program. These are separate programs but we hope to lessen the application burden by integrating timelines.

If you are also applying for Dare to Dream Venture Shaping, Assessment, or Integration, please use the appropriate application found here. The joint Dare to Dream/TechArb applications are due by 8:00 a.m. on September 23, 2011.

To access the TechArb ONLY application, please use this link. Applications for November 1, 2011 - April 30, 2012 TechArb tenancy are due by 5:00 p.m. on September 30, 2011. If applying for Dare to Dream and TechArb, see paragraph above.

Once an application is approved, the company will be scheduled for an orientation meeting where they will be given access to the TechArb facility. Teams must review and accept the terms of occupancy presented during the orientation session.
