Information Session

This information session will discuss the goal of the
Dare to Dream program and the three different kinds of Dare
to Dream grants. Students will learn about the application requirements
for each grant and how the deliverables will help progress their
venture into a business that is ready to launch.
Applications due
Friday, February 1 at 8 a.m. emailed to zlicontact@umich.edu
Applications should be emailed in a single .pdf or .doc document
with the subject: [Company name] [Opportunity, Assessment, or
Integration] grant application. Here is the application document
that should be included with the business hypothesis, business
proposal, or feasibility study.
Mingle 'n' Match
Thursday, February 7 at 5 p.m. at Ann Arbor SPARK
330 E. Liberty
This is a casual, networking event that introduces entrepreneurial
students and students with an existing business idea to provide
them an opportunity to form a stronger business team. This event
will be hosted in partnership with Ann Arbor SPARK. Students
who want to present their business concept to attendees should
send an email with the team name and a paragraph description
to teambuilding@umich.edu.
If you are interested in attending this event, please register
here. Registration is not required to attend.
Grant recipients announced
Friday, February 15 at 6 p.m. in Great Lakes Room Central
at Palmer Commons
Teams that have been selected to receive a grant will be announced
at the Michigan Business Challenge Awards Ceremony. At least
one person from each team must be present at this ceremony in
order to receive their grant.
Business Development Seminars
Friday, March 7 at 9 a.m. in room W2760 for Opportunity
recipients
Friday, March 7 at 12 p.m.in room E0550 for Assessment recipients
Friday, March 7 at 3 p.m. in room E0550 for Integration recipients
To help students write their deliverable for their grant, they
are encouraged to attend the appropriate training session for
their grant. Each session is approximately 90 minutes long with
30 minutes for questions. All students are welcome to attend
if they would like help writing a business hypothesis, feasibility
study, or business plan.

Because the process for each step of the Dare to Dream program
requires an increasing amount of research and dedication, the
due dates for each deliverable is staggered to allow teams to
put their best efforts forth. All submissions should be emailed
to zlicontact@umich.edu
by 8 a.m. the day they are due.
