How to Apply/Information Sessions
Wednesday, January 18 at 5:30 p.m. in room R2210, Ross School of Business
Students will learn the details of the Dare to Dream Grant Program and the Mayleben Venture Shaping Grant Program, including the application process and expectations of the programs. Students interested in applying for a Venture Shaping grant are encouraged to attend this seminar, which will explain key concepts in the opportunity identification process. Attending this seminar will allow you to complete a much more effective Dare to Dream Venture Shaping application.

Applications Due
Friday, January 27 at 8 a.m. emailed to dare2dream@umich.edu.
Applications should be emailed in a single .pdf or .doc document with the subject: [Company name] [Shaping or Assessment or Integration] grant application.

Grant Recipients Announced
Thursday, February 9 by 5:00 p.m. via email.

Awards Reception
Friday, February 17 at 5:30 in the Colloquium, Ross School of Business. This is a reception for both the grant programs and the Michigan Business Challenge. Public Welcome.

Business Development Seminars
Monday, February 13 at 5:30 p.m. in R1220 for Venture Shaping Grant Awardees
Wednesday, February 15 at 5:30 p.m. in R2240 for Assessment Grant Awardees
TBA by appointment for Integration Grant Awardees
To help students write the deliverable for their grant, at least half of the team is required to attend the appropriate training session for their grant. Each session is approximately 90 minutes long with 30 minutes for questions. These sessions are open to all U of M students who would like guidance in writing a business construct, feasibility study, or business plan. Students interested in applying for any grant are encouraged to attend the Information sessionon January 18, which will explain how to write the required information for the application.

Deadline for Deliverables
March 23 (Friday)- Venture Shaping first portion due
March 23 (Friday)- Assessment intermediate deliverable due
April 26 (Thursday) - Venture Shaping final deliverable,including "Business Construct" due
April 26 (Thursday) - Assessment final deliverable, "Feasibility Study" due
April 26 (Thursday) - Integration intermediate deliverable due
August 1 (Wednesday) - Integration final deliverable, "Business Plan" and "Investor Presentation"
Because the process for each step of the grant programs require an increasing amount of research and dedication, the due dates for each deliverable are staggered to allow teams to put forth their best efforts. All submissions should be emailed as a .pdf to dare2dream@umich.edu by 8:00 a.m. on the day they are due.
